European Data and AI Summit 2026: Driving Collaboration in Mobility and Tourism

To bring our European Data AI Summit closer to our partners, we are proud to launch the first edition of this event outside of France. Each year, in addition to our traditional gathering in Paris, we will go on a European tour to showcase our members' achievements and ongoing projects. The 2026 edition will take us to Bratislava, where EONA-X is bringing data spaces to Slovakia in partnership with the Slovakian Industry Innovation Cluster and the European project DEPLOYTOUR.

The European Data & AI Summit 2026, taking place on 22 January 2026 in Bratislava, brings together experts from across Europe to explore how data sharing and artificial intelligence are shaping the future of logistics, mobility, and tourism. As part of the EONA-X Danube Tour and hosted by Comenius University, the event focuses on practical use cases, policy frameworks, and cross-sector collaboration.

About DEPLOYTOUR

DEPLOYTOUR is a strategic initiative to boost the competitiveness, sustainability, and resilience of the tourism sector. It addresses the challenges of fragmented and inaccessible tourism data by enhancing access to information, empowering SMEs and DMOs in their digital and green transition, and fostering innovative practices, upskilling, and productivity for a stronger and more sustainable industry.

About the Slovakian Industry Innovation Cluster

Industry Innovation Cluster (IIC) is a Slovak innovation ecosystem that connects companies, research institutions, and public stakeholders to accelerate digital transformation and sustainable growth in industry. By fostering collaboration, supporting EU-funded projects, and promoting cutting-edge technologies, IIC helps small and medium-sized enterprises become more competitive, resilient, and future-ready.

Panels and Themes

The program is structured around four thematic panels, each addressing a key dimension of data and AI in logistics, mobility, and tourism:

Panel 1: Cohesion Policy, European Funds, and Cross-Border Financing

  • Analysis of the strategic synergy between Cohesion Policy, cross-border financing, and technical frameworks to drive regional growth. Highlighting the strength of Franco-Slovak friendship, the discussion examines how working together to align European funds with infrastructure and digital innovation can bridge territorial gaps. Aims to define robust financial models and collaborative strategies to strengthen European connectivity and sovereign development.

Panel 2: Deploying the Common Data Space for Tourism: an opportunity for the European travel industry

  • Collaboration as a key to Destination Competitiveness in Europe. Synergies between Mobility and Tourism with examples from Austria and France.

Panel 3: From downtown to airports: connecting passengers and freight to multimodal hubs

  • Focus on the seamless integration of urban centres with international gateways by optimizing passenger and freight transitions toward multimodal hubs. Explores technical and operational synergies between the aviation, automotive, and public transport sectors to enhance terminal efficiency. By examining the roles of new energies and digital connectivity, the panel aims to define innovative frameworks for building sustainable and high-performance transport nodes.

Panel 4: Women in tomorrow’s transport

  • The panel will highlight women’s roles, visibility, and impact across passenger transport, tourism, and digital ecosystems. It will address inclusion, digitalization, AI, and the barriers women face in the sector.

Speakers and Audiences

Speakers and moderators across the four panels will share expert insights, lessons learned, and real-world applications of data and AI. Through these discussions, participants will hear both hands-on experiences and strategic perspectives from across the European logistics, mobility, and tourism ecosystem.

In addition, the diversity of sectors represented highlights the summit’s unique approach. Leaders from policy, the public sector, transport operations, tourism, and innovation ecosystems all come together. They are connected through data exchange, AI-enabled mobility solutions, and cross-sector cooperation, which form the core of the event. Moreover, speakers represent multiple European countries, including Slovakia, Italy, Switzerland, France, and Austria, emphasizing the importance of these topics across the continent.

Participants will also have the chance to engage in dedicated networking moments after the panels. During these sessions, they can exchange experiences, build connections and partnerships, discuss upcoming projects, and strengthen cross-border and European cooperation networks.

This initiative targets sector experts and professionals in mobility, transport, tourism, logistics, and data or AI. It also addresses public-sector decision-makers and policy experts at European, national, and regional levels. Furthermore, it is aimed at industry leaders and project managers working on data spaces, interoperability, and digital infrastructure. Finally, researchers, consultants, and innovation practitioners working on applied AI and data governance are encouraged to participate.
