Apidae aggregates data from more than 700 DMOs, covering accommodations, shops and services, events, activities, itineraries, and more. Content is entered and verified by local tourist offices. With over 5,000 data fields, availability in 10 languages, 500,000 points of interest, and more than 4,000 active projects, Apidae enables the creation of smart, personalized tourism experiences.
Eona-X is a powerful accelerator for Apidae and our ecosystem. It enables resource sharing for defining data exchange formats, catalog structures, legal rules… and fosters the emergence of innovative use cases based on shared data. It also boosts our visibility and that of our territories.

Enabling trusted circulation of tourism data
Enabling trusted circulation of tourism data
We are working on an intermediation model based on producers’ consent and usage traceability. As a trusted third party, we facilitate access to qualified tourism data for innovative projects within Eona-X. This model seeks a balance between openness and sovereignty, with streamlined, centralized authorization management. It enables data cross-use with other sectors like mobility, smart cities, or intelligent territories—within a logic of shared value and interoperable data.
Adjusting services based on site attendance
Adjusting services based on site attendance
Apidae explores how to use crowding and attendance data to suggest alternatives to saturated sites. By combining this with transport, accommodation, or itinerary data, we support alternate journeys better spread over time and space. This helps relieve pressure on busy areas, encourages discovery of lesser-known spots, and aligns with sustainable tourism goals. These practices directly support Eona-X’s priorities of low-impact services, optimized visitor flows, and local value creation.
Accessibility and disability: enriching tourism data
Accessibility and disability: enriching tourism data
Apidae already integrates numerous accessibility criteria related to disability (reduced mobility, sensory, cognitive…). A key challenge remains the completeness and reliability of this data on the ground, through input by trained professionals. This ongoing effort helps better reflect diverse user needs and enables reuse in more inclusive digital services. It’s a direction we are actively exploring to support more accessible and equitable data ecosystems.
