ADN Tourisme

ADN Tourisme is the national federation of institutional tourism organizations, created in 2020 to bring together and represent the key players in the sector. It brings together 1,200 territorial structures which support touristic actors in the creation of sustainable, attractive strategies adapted to the new challenges of tourism.

ADN Tourisme is the national federation representing institutional tourism stakeholders in France, both in mainland France and in the overseas territories. It leads the network of tourist offices as well as departmental and regional organizations, and represents their voice at the national level. ADN Tourisme’s approach is based on a collaborative model, where collective intelligence and the pooling of resources make it possible to structure innovative responses to the challenges of the sector.

Joining EONA-X marks an important milestone for ADN Tourisme: bringing the voice and expertise of French territories into the development of a European data ecosystem built on trust and interoperability, aligned with the evolving use of data in tourism.

Working together for quality and sustainable tourism

Supporting our organizations in evolving their practices within a tourism ecosystem profoundly transformed by artificial intelligence, and reaffirming their legitimate and relevant role as trusted third parties in the production and dissemination of high-quality tourism data.

DataTourisme: The open data platform for tourism

ADN Tourisme manages DATAtourisme, the national tourism data platform. DATAtourisme centralizes information on France’s tourism offering produced by local and institutional tourism stakeholders. Its reference ontology structures, standardizes and harmonizes tourism data, facilitating interoperability and enabling its reuse at an international scale. More than 530,000 tourist points of interest (POIs) are available in open data through a single access point. Harmonized and freely reusable, this data can be leveraged by companies, territories and developers to create innovative digital services.

Collaboration and networking

Through thematic working groups, the federation co-develops practical solutions with its members, tailored to both current and future challenges: ecological transition, digital transformation, quality of visitor reception, inclusion, tourism engineering and commercialization. These collaborative dynamics enable the sharing of expertise, the anticipation of sector changes, and the deployment of practical tools (methodological guides, surveys, collaborative platforms) for the benefit of all territories. To foster collaboration and the exchange of best practices, ADN Tourisme organizes several events each year for its members.

Promoting responsible and sustainable tourism

Aware of the need for collective transformation, ADN Tourisme supports its members in evolving their actions towards more responsible tourism. Among the initiatives carried out: the facilitation of a “responsible tourism” community, the launch of the “Hidden Territories Challenge”, the development of a guide to certification and labelling approaches for responsible tourism, training for tourism offices on CSR, support for the deployment of the Tourism & Disability label, and the national dissemination of a charter on hospitality. Educational initiatives aimed at elected officials complement these actions.
