Carbookr joins EONA-X to accelerate trusted data sharing for mobility and tourism

By joining EONA-X, Carbookr becomes part of a community of leading industrial and institutional stakeholders committed to building a common European data ecosystem. This collective initiative seeks to foster innovation and support the transformation of mobility services through trusted data sharing.

This partnership builds on Carbookr’s R&D efforts, initiated in 2023, to measure and reduce the carbon footprint associated with vehicle rental. The company has developed its own predictive model to quantify emissions and identify optimization opportunities, both in customer usage and in the technical processes supporting its services.

Joining the EONA-X ecosystem provides access to new datasets and collaborative projects, particularly in the development of algorithms within a shared data environment. It also enables the exploration of new methodologies for calculating CO₂ emissions, including broader scopes such as indirect emissions related to transport infrastructure.

Through this partnership, Carbookr aims to actively contribute to optimizing mobility by encouraging the pooling of available vehicle capacity and reducing empty trips. The company will also participate, alongside other members, in European and national projects dedicated to data spaces and the transition toward more sustainable and responsible mobility solutions.
